FLOW Activation Circle News
New York took a bold step forward this week and started an online
FLOW forum. Just in structure now, but we love the initiative
and the exploration of using multiple technology platforms to
connect people and circles in the FLOW community. Thanks to Logan
Bobo for getting it up http://flowactivation.org/index.php And
Adam Hansen put together an excellent
presentation on Microfinance.
The next FAC Meeting in San Francisco will be at the historic
Red Vic Peace Center in the Haight. We will engage in a “World
Conversation” hosted by Red Vic founder Sami Sunchild, focusing
on Empowering Women Entrepreneurs. Thursday 27 September, 6:30
– 8:30, with dinner at 5:30. Follow this link to make a reservation
and prepay for dinner (dinner by reservation and prepayment only).
Contact me jeff@flowidealism.org for
more information about the meeting.
The next Austin FAC
meeting is Saturday 29 September, 4:00 – 6:00 pm at St. Michael’s
Church. Austin FAC attendees have been requesting a consistent
day and time each month. Before
confirming the last Saturday of each month from 4-6 p.m. as our
standard day and time, we'd like to receive feedback from FLOW
members. If many people would like to attend but can do
so only if our meeting is held on a weekday evening, we would
be happy to set a weekday evening as our regular day and time. If
so, email contact@flowidealism.org with
which day of the week and what time would be best for you.
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
Our program launch weekend in Austin, November 30th and December
1st promises to be an exciting celebration and deep exploration.
In addition to our Day long EWE engagement experience with a
Marketplace of Ideas and Opportunities, Day Two will feature
presentations and workshops by:
- Women’s Edge Coalition on the GROWTH (Global Resources for
Women to Thrive) Act
- Lawry Chickering of Educate Girls Globally on transforming
habitual culture to conscious culture in India
- Awad Abdelgadir of Nile Valley Herbs on Community Building
through Entreprise in Nubia
- Marella Echavarria of SuRevolution on Marketing Artisanal
Products to the Luxury Goods Market
- And much more…
Conscious Capitalism
We are convening our inaugural Conscious Capitalism retreat
early next month, and look forward to reporting on the proceedings
and outcomes to you soon thereafter,
The FLOW Web Site
The journey continues to create, as it turns out, our own wiki
infrastructure. It looks beautiful, and is almost fully functional.
Stay tuned… please! We look forward to launching it for your
feedback and content input and collaboration.
